4 Wheel Drive
1. Remove clutch slave cylinder hydraulic line.
2. Remove transaxle as described under "Manual Transmission, Replace."
3. Remove return clip, then the release bearing.
4. With suitable clutch disc guide inserted in center hole to prevent clutch disc from dropping, loosen bolts holding clutch cover assembly one at a time diagonally and remove clutch cover assembly.
5. Remove clutch disc.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Apply suitable grease to clutch linkage that encounters metal to metal contact.
b. Apply grease to groove of inner surface of release bearing.
c. Apply coating of grease to end of slave cylinder pushrod.
d. After installing transaxle, adjust clutch as described under "Clutch Pedal, Adjust," then bleed hydraulic system and check for leakage.
