Power Steering Pressure Switch: Description and Operation

The power steering oil pressure switch closes when there is a power steering load. The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) uses the signal from this switch to prevent an engine rpm drop at idle due to power steering load by actuating the Idle Speed Control (ISC) servo.
