VENT WINDOW REMOTE CONTROL CABLE
Removal
1. Remove rear vent remote control handle covers.
2. Unscrew and remove both remote control handles.
3. Disconnect battery negative cable and remove reading lamp, dome lamp, and cargo lamps.
4. Remove the sun visors and the sun visor clips.

Garnish Mouldings And Trim Panels, Left Side:

Garnish Mouldings And Trim Panels, Right Side:

5. Remove the windshield side garnish mouldings.

Rear Seat Removal (5 Passenger):

6. Remove the first rear seat.
7. Remove the front door scuff plates, side door scuff plate, and liftgate scuff plate.
8. Remove the "B" pillar garnish mouldings and seat belts.
9. Remove the upper track cover.
10. Remove the lower quarter trim panel from the left side.
11. Remove the upper quarter trim panel from the left side.
12. Remove the right quarter trim panel.

Headliner:

13. Remove the headliner fasteners, and then the headliner.
14. Remove the two bolts that fasten the handle end of the cable to the roof crossmember.

Vent Window, Remote Control:

15. Remove the two bolts that fasten the handle and actuator assembly to the tapping plate.

Fuel Door Remote Cable:

16. Unclip and separate the handle and actuator assembly from the pivot bracket assembly.
17. Unsnap the cable retainers and remove the cable.

Installation
1. Position the cable in the cable retainers and close retainers.
2. Connect the pivot bracket assembly to the handle and actuator assembly. Install the clip.
3. Hand tighten the handle and actuator assembly to tapping plate bolts to allow movement of these components during adjustment.
4. Install the handle end of the cable to the roof crossmember and torque the bolts to 2 Nm (15 In. Lbs.).
5. Try the system for proper operation. The handle and actuator will position itself into correct alignment at this time.
6. Torque the handle and actuator assembly bolts to 7 Nm (60 In. Lbs.).
7. Install headliner, trim panels, garnish mouldings, and rear seat.
8. Install reading lamp, dome lamp, and cargo lamps.
9. Connect battery negative cable.
10. Install the vent window remote control handles and covers.
