Clutch Slave Cylinder: Service and Repair

The clutch master cylinder, remote reservoir, slave cylinder and connecting lines can only be serviced as an assembly. These components are sealed units and cannot be serviced separately.
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove slave cylinder attaching nuts.
2. Remove hydraulic fluid line from two body clips, then lower vehicle.
3. Carefully remove locating clip, then the retaining ring, flat washer and wave washer that attach clutch master cylinder pushrod to clutch pedal.
4. Slide clutch master cylinder pushrod off clutch pedal pin.
5. Inspect condition of bushing on clutch pedal pin, replace if necessary.
6. Ensure master cylinder reservoir cap is tight, then remove reservoir to bracket attaching screws.
7. Remove reservoir mounting bracket, then pull master cylinder rubber seal from dash panel.
8. Rotate clutch master cylinder 45° counterclockwise to unlock it, then remove cylinder from dash panel.
9. Remove clutch cylinders, reservoir and connecting lines from vehicle.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
