Water In Fuel Indicator: Description and Operation

This lamp is controlled by the engine controller. If the engine controller receives an input signal from the Water-In-Fuel sensor, then it will illuminate the Water-In-Fuel lamp. The Water-In-Fuel sensor is located in the fuel/water separator filter assembly, and sends an input signal to the engine controller if it senses excessive water in the fuel. The Water-In-Fuel lamp is located in the instrument panel.
