Diagnostic Strategies

Flow Of Diagnosis:

1. Get accurate description of complaint. Road test vehicle to verify. Perform underhood inspection. For further information refer to DRIVEABILITY WORKSHEET and VEHICLE REPAIR INFORMATION in INFO TYPE/TECHNICAL/MANAGEMENT SUPPORT.
2. Check TSB'S for manual updates, testing procedures, warranty and recall information.
3. Visual Inspection.
4. See Diagnosis by Symptom. Follow procedures as outlined for given symptom.
NOTE: The DRB II or an equivalent scan tool is required for proper diagnosis and testing of the vehicle.
