Instrument Panel Cover Assembly Removal Truck:
View Of The Instrument Panel & Maintenance Reminder Light Reset Switch:
Some models have an EGR or MAINTENANCE REQUIRED warning light in the dash, which will come on as a reminder to service the EGR system (every 50,000 miles), replace the oxygen sensor (every 80,000 miles), or replace the Charcoal Canister (every 100,000 miles). After performing the 120,000 mile inspection, remove the Maintenance Reminder Light bulb.
After servicing or replacing the components, the milage counter will need to be reset. The reset switch is located in the lower right hand corner between the layers of the instrument cluster assembly. To reset the indicator light, remove the instrument cluster assembly face plate and depress the reset switch.
CAUTION: If the speedometer is to be replaced, set the new odometer to the same reading as the odometer being removed.
