1. Disassemble mainshaft assembly in order shown noting the following:
a. Remove synchronizer hub with puller tool No. P-334 or equivalent.
b. With synchronizer assembled to cone of each gear, check dimension "A,". If measurement exceeds 0.009 inch, replace synchronizer ring and/or gear.

2. Reverse procedure to assemble noting the following:
a. Install each synchronizer sleeve so shifting keys are as shown in.
b. Install each thrust washer so surface having oil channels faces toward gear.
