Water Pump: Service and Repair

Fig. 26 Water Pump Removal & Installation:

Remove components in order as they appear, Fig. 26, noting the following:

1. Drain cooling system.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Use a new water pump gasket (17) and water pipe O-ring (18).
b. Adjust belts to specifications.
c. Fill cooling system.
d. Connect battery ground cable.
