ORGANIZATION OF INFORMATION

These tests is divided up into the following sections:

- Visual Inspection
- No Start Tests
- Driveability Tests
- Verification Tests

RECOMMENDED SECTION USAGE (Where to Begin Diagnosis)

1. Engine will not start or not stay running.
- Visual Inspection
- No Start Tests - test numbers begin with NS
- Verification (2.4L only)

2. Engine runs with performance problems
- Visual Inspection
- Driveability Test - test numbers begin with DR
- Verification (2.4L only)

Please note that the test flowcharts are primarily electrical tests and mechanical failures cannot be overlooked. Therefore, "No Fault Code Tests" and mechanical tests are important and begin with Test DR-16. (2.4L only, use DR-15 for 3.0L engine.)

It is not necessary to perform all tests in each section for every problem. Selection of what section to use will be determined by the technician's initial analysis and customer's description of problem.
