1991-1992 (AN) Dakota/Dakota Sport/Dakota Cab & Chassis


SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Some vehicles may experience a "squeaking" noise coming from the front disc brakes when brakes are applied. A revised front disc brake lining is now available to eliminate noise complaints.


DIAGNOSIS:

Drive vehicle and verify a "squeaking" noise can be heard from the front disc brakes when the brakes are applied. If the noise can be heard, proceed with the repair procedures.


PARTS REQUIRED:

1 Lining Set, Disc (4 X 2 Vehicles) 4728754
1 Lining Set, Disc (4 X 4 Vehicles) 4728755


REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This repair involves replacement of the front disc brake linings with revised linings.

1. Remove the front disc lining set as outlined in the appropriate service manual.

2. Inspect the condition of the rotors and wheel bearings and replace if necessary.

3. Install the revised disc lining set.
