System Operation

To set speed control: To turn the speed control system on, press the ON/OFF button. The desired speed must be at or above 35 mph. When the desired speed is reached, press the SET button.

To disengage speed control: To turn speed control off, depress the brake pedal or the clutch pedal. The ON/OFF button can also be used, but this will erase the set speed from memory.

NOTE: When the clutch pedal is depressed, rpm will increase before speed control cuts out.

To resume previous speed: To resume the previously set speed, provided the set speed has not been erased from memory and the vehicle speed is above 30 mph, press the RESUME button.

To increase speed (with a stalk switch): When speed control is on, to increase the set speed press the SET button and release it in less than one second. Each press/release of the button will cause an increase in the set speed of 2 mph. Multiple presses are remembered; i.e., three presses will cause an increase of 6 mph.

To increase speed (with a steering column switch): When speed control is on, to increase the set speed, press the ACCEL/RESUME button and release it in less than one second. Each press release of the button will cause an increase in the set speed of 2 mph. Multiple presses are remembered; i.e., three presses will cause an increase of 6 mph. Or, the speed may be gradually and steadily increased to the desired level by pressing and holding the ACCEL/RESUME switch until the desired speed is reached. When the switch is released, a new set speed is established.

To decrease speed: When the speed control is on, to decrease the set speed, press and hold the SET/DECEL button. This will gradually decrease the set speed. When the button is released, a new set speed is established, provided the vehicle speed is at 35 mph or above.

NOTE: The speed control system will automatically disengage when the vehicle speed goes below 35 mph or above 85 mph. RESUME will restore the set speed, provided the vehicle speed is at 30 mph or above.
