Fig. 41 Automatic Belt Tensioner Replacement:
REMOVAL
1. Attach a suitable wrench to the pulley mounting bolt of the automatic tensioner, Fig. 41.
2. Rotate tensioner assembly clockwise until tension has been relieved.
3. Remove belt from vehicle.
INSTALLATION
1. Position drive belt over all pulleys except idler pulley.
2. Attach a suitable wrench to the pulley mounting bolt of the automatic tensioner.
3. Rotate wrench clockwise, place belt over idler pulley then allow tensioner to rotate back into place. Ensure belt is properly seated on all pulleys.
4. Check belt indexing marks, refer to BELT TENSIONER.
