Impact Sensor: Description and Operation

IMPACT SENSORS
The impact sensors, located on front lefthand and righthand sides of vehicle are threshold sensitive switches that complete an electrical circuit when an impact provides a sufficient G force to close switch. The sensors are calibrated for specific vehicle and react to severity and direction of impact.
