Strut Mount Bearing Noise

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Vehicle exhibits a squeak from the strut mount area while turning.


DIAGNOSIS:

1. Park the vehicle on a surface where turning the wheels will not generate tire noise.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the off but unlocked position.

3. Turn the steering wheel to the right and/or left slowly, listen for a squeaking noise. The noise could exist on the right and/or left side(s).

4. After verifying the squeaking noise is from the strut mount area, the strut mount should be replaced.


PARTS REQUIRED:

AR Mount Assembly, Strut 4684006


REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves replacement of the strut mount assembly(s). Refer to Group 2 of the appropriate technical service manual for the replacement procedure.
