Air Switch/Relief Valve Solenoid Test

AIR SWITCH/RELIEF VALVE SOLENOID TEST

1. Disconnect electrical connector from solenoid valve.
2. Remove vacuum hoses. With wiring disconnected air should flow from vacuum port through vent port.
3. Energize solenoid, by connecting one terminal to ground and the other to battery positive. Solenoid should make a clicking noise when connection to battery is made, and air should flow through both vacuum ports.
4. If valve fails any test, replace valve.
