Throttle Body Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair
The Throttle Body Temperature Sensor is installed in the bottom of the throttle body air horn, next to the automatic idle speed motor.REMOVAL
1. Remove the air cleaner and disconnect the throttle cables from the throttle body.
2. Remove the throttle cable bracket mounting screws and lay the bracket aside.
3. Disconnect the Throttle Body Temperature Sensor electrical connector, and unscrew the sensor.
INSTALLATION
1. Apply a heat transfer compound (usually provided with a new sensor) to the tip portion of the sensor.
2. Install the sensor and tighten to 9-13.5 Nm (80-120 lb-in). Connect the wiring connector.
3. Install the throttle cable bracket and tighten the mounting screws.
4. Reconnect the throttle cables and install the air cleaner.
