PROCEDURE

The trouble codes should be cleared using the DRB II or equivalent scan tool. If a trouble code exists and the problem does not reoccur, then the trouble codes that are stored will automatically reset after 50 to 100 ignition switch ON/OFF cycles. SEE SCAN TOOL (DRB II) ORIENTATION.

If a scan tool is not available, trouble codes can be cleared by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 1 minute.

NOTE: Be sure to record radio station presets before disconnecting the battery cable. Reset radio station presets and clock after clearing trouble codes.
