Without Scan Tool

NOTE:
Be sure to record radio station presets before disconnecting the battery cable. Reset radio station presets and clock after clearing fault codes.


PROCEDURE

The fault codes should be cleared using the DRB II or equivalent scan tool. If a fault code exists and the problem does not reoccur, then the fault codes that are stored will automatically reset after 50 to 100 ignition switch ON/OFF cycles. SEE SCAN TOOL (DRB II) ORIENTATION.

If a scan tool is not available, fault codes can be cleared by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 1 minute.
