Wipers Stop When Switch Turned Off (Do Not Park)
1. Disconnect motor wiring harness connector and clean terminals. Reconnect connector and test motor.2. If condition persists, set wiper switch to Off position. Disconnect motor wiring connector. Connect a voltmeter to motor ground strap and other lead to terminal 2 on harness connector.
3. If voltage is not present, check for an open circuit in wiring harness or wiper control switch.
4. If voltage is present, connect an ohmmeter between terminals 3 and 1.
5. If continuity exists, problem is a defective motor.
6. If no continuity exists, problem is an open circuit in wiper control switch or wiring harness.
