USE ONLY PARTS WITH A BUILD CODE OF 0363 OR HIGHER. THIS NUMBER WILL BE STAMPED ON THE BACK OF THE HANDLE BETWEEN THE PIVOT POINTS. ALSO, IT IS OK TO USE ANY PARTS IDENTIFIED WITH A YELLOW MARK ON THE BACK OF THE HANDLE.
1. Using the procedures outlined on pages 23-25 and 23-31 of the 1993 Front Wheel Drive/All Wheel Drive Van/Wagon Service Manual, remove the right and left outside front door handles and the sliding door outside door handle.
2. Wash the door handle retaining brackets (P/N's 4719074, 4719075 and 4615400), and nuts (P/N 6500284) in soap and warm water. This step is to remove any residual oil left from the stamping process of the brackets because the oil may cause deterioration of the replacement handles body material. Do not allow any petroleum products to contact the body of the replacement handles. Washed brackets entered vehicle production during the week of 4/5/93.
