SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some customers may experience poor reception of FM radio stations at the fringes of their broadcast areas. In some cases this may be caused by Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) generated by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) used with the 41TE transaxle.

With the ignition switch to the on position, tune the radio to verify a station that is exhibiting the poor reception condition. With the ignition turned off disconnect the TCM, then place the ignition switch to the on position and listen to the station again. If the reception improves with the TCM disconnected, perform the repair procedure.
