DISCUSSION:

The Electronic Cycling Clutch Switch (ECCS) is now released as a serviced part (P/N 4762403). P/N 4762403 is a kit and contains an ECCS and a new retaining screw.

NOTE:
NEVER REUSE THE ORIGINAL RETAINING SCREW.

Previously the ECCS was only available as a part of the expansion valve assembly. The ECCS testing and replacement procedures are outlined starting on page 24-19 of the 1993 Front Wheel Drive/All Wheel Drive Van/Wagon Service Manual (Publication No. 81-370-3105), or page 24-22 of the 1994 Front Wheel Drive/All Wheel Drive Van/Wagon Service Manual (Publication No. 81-370-4105).

It is important to save and re-use the special temperature conductive grease in the capillary tube well of the expansion valve.

Labor Operation Number 24-35-50-03 is in the 1993 and 1994 Time Schedule Manuals with a time allowance of 0.3 Hrs., and should be used when replacing the ECCS.
