Reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Trouble codes stored by the ECU, can be retrieved by cycling the ignition switch on-off-on-off-on, within 5 seconds. Any trouble codes stored will be displayed by the check engine lamp, as a series of flashing lights corresponding to the codes. The trouble codes may only be erased with a scan tool.
