1993 Dodge Ram Trucks and Ram Vans and Wagons
Equipped With a 5.9L Engine

Dear Chrysler Corporation Vehicle Owner:

The Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label that was installed on your vehicle identifies an incorrect spark plug. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and State of California regulations require that the manufacturer identify the correct spark plug on the VECI label. To assure your vehicle complies with government regulations, we ask that you apply the enclosed label so that it covers the existing wrong label which is located on the underside of the hood. To assure good adhesion, it will be necessary to wipe the existing label clean before you apply the new label.

If you prefer not to perform the installation yourself, contact your dealer to make an appointment for installation of the label. This service will be provided free of charge. Take the enclosed Owner Notification Form and label with you at the time of your appointment and give it to your dealer. The form identifies the vehicle and the service that is required.

If you have any problem obtaining the service, please call the Chrysler Customer Center, toll free, at 1-800-853-1403. A representative will assist you in getting your vehicle repaired.
