Shift Tower and Lever Assembly Installation

SHIFT TOWER AND LEVER ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
1. Apply petroleum jelly to ball end of shift lever and interior of shift socket.

Shift Tower Installaiton:

2. Align and install shift tower and lever assembly. Be sure shift ball is seated in socket and the offset in the tower is toward the passenger side of the vehicle before installing tower bolts.

Shift Tower Bolt Installation:

3. Install shift tower bolts. Tighten bolts to 7 - 10 Nm (5 - 7 ft. lbs.) torque.

4. Fill transmission to bottom edge of fill plug hole with Mopar(R) Transmission Lubricant, P/N 4761526.
5. Install and tighten fill plug to 19 - 27 Nm (14 - 20 ft. lbs.) torque.

Vent Location:

6. Check transmission vent. Be sure vent is open and not restricted.
