Rear Band Adjustment

Fig. 6 Low-reverse band adjustment:

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Loosen transmission oil pan bolts, drain fluid and remove oil pan.
3. Using adjustment wrench tool No. C-3380-A or equivalent, torque band adjusting screw to 30 inch lbs, Fig. 6.
4. Back off adjusting screw six turns. Hold adjusting screw in this position and torque lock nut to 25 ft-lbs.
5. Install oil pan using a new gasket. Torque oil pan bolts to 150 inch lbs.
6. Fill transmission with specified ATF.
