Throttle Body Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

LOCATION
Sensor mounted in throttle body.

PURPOSE
Measures throttle body temperature which is the same as fuel temperature.

Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses this information to adjust air/fuel mixture for hot restart conditions.

OPERATION
Resistance of sensor changes as fuel temperature changes.
