NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 3.9L, 5.2L AND 5.9L ENGINES AND THE 32RH, 36RH, 42RH, AND 46RH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
1992 MODEL YEAR VEHICLES - High light throttle upshifts (upshifts occur at a higher than optimum speed range).
1993 MODEL YEAR VEHICLES - Light throttle upshifts too low or close together (2-3 very close to the 1-2 upshift)
DIAGNOSIS:
Using the Scan Tool (DRB II) and the applicable diagnostic procedure manual, or the Mopar Diagnostic System, verify that the vehicle engine systems are functioning as designed. If Trouble Codes (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) are present, record them on the repair order for future reference, and repair as necessary. If no codes are present and all the systems are functioning as designed, continue with the repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This repair involves replacement of the governor weights and spring with recalibrated weights and spring.
1. Follow the procedure outlined in the appropriate service manual for the transmission installed in the vehicle and replace the governor weights and spring using the appropriate parts package.
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
