NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A 3.9L ENGINE AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Sag, hesitation, or rough idle after a cold engine start up. This bulletin will not effect performance after the engine has reached operating temperature.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using the Scan Tool (DRB II) and appropriate diagnostic procedure manual or the Mopar Diagnostic System, verify that all vehicle systems are functioning as designed. If Trouble Codes (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) are present, record them on the repair order for future reference, and repair as necessary. If no codes are present and all systems are functioning correctly, proceed with the following repair.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Using the procedures outlined in the service manual, replace the Powertrain Control Module with the appropriate part listed.
2. Complete the required information on the Authorized Modification Label and affix the label to the vehicle near the VECI Label.
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
