NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 9" REAR DRUM BRAKES.

MODELS:
1993 (AN) Dakota

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

A vehicle may exhibit a moan or howl coming from the rear brakes during a medium brake application at speeds lower than 20 MPH. The noise is usually loudest just before the vehicle comes to a stop.

DIAGNOSIS:

Road test the vehicle to verify the complaint. If the vehicle exhibits the condition at one or both rear wheels, perform the repair procedure.

PARTS REQUIRED:

1 Brake Lining Pkg. 4723367

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves the replacement of the rear brake linings.

Using the procedures outlined in Group 5 of the 1993 Dakota Rear Wheel Drive Service Manual (Publication No. 81-370-3110), replace the rear linings with the parts listed above.
