Front Seat Cover Wear Through Above the Recliner Pivot

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Front seat cover wears through above the recliner pivot.
DIAGNOSIS:
Visually inspect the seat cover around the recliner pivot. If signs of wear are present, follow repair procedure.
**PARTS REQUIRED:**
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves replacing the front seat cushion cover with a reinforced seat cushion cover.
1. Remove seat from vehicle by referring to Group 23 of the appropriate Service Manual for the appropriate seat type.
2. Remove front seat cushion cover by referring to Group 23 of the appropriate Service Manual for the appropriate seat type.
3. Replace the seat cover using the new seat cover with the reinforced area above the recliner pivot. Figure 1 shows the 40/20/40 seat. The bench seat has a similar wear patch.
4. Reverse steps 2 and 1 to complete the repair.
