Belt Tension Data

ALTERNATOR, WATER PUMP & POWER STEERING BELTS

These components are driven by a serpentine drive belt. This type belt used a dynamic tensioner that automatically adjusts drive belt to proper tension.

Tension on new drive belt should measure 125 lbs. Tension on used drive belt should measure 80 lbs.
