Dual Cargo Doors

Right Door-To-Body Weatherstrip Seal:

Left Door-To-Body Weatherstrip Seal:

The side and rear door weatherstrip seals are identical.

Each door-to-body weatherstrip seal is attached to the door inner panel with adhesive and integral retainers that are inserted into the panel holes.

RIGHT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP REMOVAL
1. Open the cargo door.
2. Start at an upper corner and pull outward on the seal to separate the retainers from the holes in the door inner panel.
3. Continue around the perimeter of the seal and pull outward on the seal to separate the retainers from the holes in the door inner panel and the adhesive.
4. Remove the seal from the door.
5. Remove the residual adhesive from the door inner panel.

INSTALLATION
The door-to-body weatherstrip seal is installed by inserting the integral retainers in the door inner panel holes around the perimeter of the door.

Weatherstrip Seal Adhesive:

1. Apply weatherstrip seal adhesive to the door inner panel around the perimeter of the door.
2. Position the weatherstrip seal on the door.
3. Start at either upper corner of the door. Simultaneously move lateral and downward around the perimeter of the door while inserting the seal retainers in the panel holes.
4. Move lateral and downward around the perimeter of the door and press the seal firmly and uniformly against the door inner panel.

NOTE: Seal positioning at the corners is critical. The seal must be firmly "seated" at each corner. Avoid "puckering" and stretching the seal at the corners.

5. Remove excess adhesive with and appropriate removal solution.
6. Inspect the fit of the door in the body door opening and the adjacent door. If crushed, the seal will rapidly deteriorate. If not correct, adjust the door- to-body fit so that the seal is not crushed when the door is closed. Refer to the door adjustment procedure.

Left Door-To-Body Weatherstrip Seal:

LEFT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP REMOVAL

4. Continue around the perimeter of the seal and pull outward on the seal to separate the retainers from the holes in the door inner panel and the adhesive.
5. Remove the seal from the door.
6. Remove the residual adhesive from the door inner panel.

INSTALLATION
The door-to-body weatherstrip seal is installed by inserting the integral retainers in the door inner panel holes and installing the seal-end retainers.

Weatherstrip Seal Adhesive:

1. Apply weatherstrip seal adhesive to the door inner panel.
2. Position the weatherstrip seal on the door.
3. Start at the upper, inboard corner of the door. Move lateral and downward around the perimeter of the door while inserting the seal retainers in the panel holes.

NOTE: Seal positioning at the corners is critical. The seal must be firmly "seated" at each corner. Avoid "puckering" and stretching the seal at the corners.

5. When correctly installed, the seal ends will terminate with the tab holes aligned with the retainer holes in the door inner panel.
6. Apply sealant to the upper, inboard corner of the seal and install both seal-end retainers.
7. Remove excess adhesive with and appropriate removal solution.
8. Inspect the fit of the door in the body door opening. If crushed, the seal will rapidly deteriorate. If not correct, adjust the door-to-body fit so that the seal is not crushed when the door is closed.
