Mirrors: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Raise the door glass to its full up position.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

Armrest And Handles Remove/Install:




3. Remove the manual window regulator control handle, if equipped.

Door Trim Panel Remove/Install:




4. Remove the inside remote door latch handle.
5. Remove the armrest and bezel.

Power Window Switches Remove/Install:




6. If equipped, remove the power switch bezel from the door trim panel by inserting a standard blade screwdriver into the notch on the forward end of the bezel. Push the screwdriver in to depress the locking tab. Pull the switch bezel out and forward to remove it from the door trim panel.
7. Gently pry the locking tabs of the wire harness connectors away from the switches and carefully unplug the switches.
8. Using a trim stick or another suitable wide, flat-bladed tool, gently pry the trim panel away from the door around its perimeter to release the snap clip retainers.
9. Unplug the wire harness connector from the trim panel mounted courtesy lamp, if equipped.
10. Remove the door watershield.
11. Reach inside the door and unplug the wire harness connector for the power mirror.

Power Mirror Remove/Install:




12. Remove the screw that secures the mirror mounting bracket cover to the mirror mounting bracket and slide the cover up on the mirror arm.
13. Remove the four screws that secure the mirror mounting bracket to the door.
14. From the outside of the door pull the mirror loose while, from the inside of the door, feeding the wire harness and connector out through the hole in the outer door panel.
15. Reverse the removal procedures to install.
