Fig. 27 Crankshaft Position Sensor:

The crankshaft position sensor is located on the right-lower side of the cylinder block, forward of the right engine mount, just above the oil pan rail.
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the sensor pigtail harness from the main engine wiring harness connector.

3. Place an ohmmeter across terminals B and C. Ohmmeter should be set to 1K-to-1OK scale for this test. The meter reading should be open (infinite resistance). Replace sensor if a low resistance is indicated.
