Volt Meter Gauge: Description and Operation

SYSTEM OPERATION
The voltmeter gives an indication of the electrical system voltage. The voltmeter is connected in parallel with the battery With the ignition switch in the On position, the voltmeter indicates the battery voltage or the generator output voltage, whichever is greater.

CIRCUIT OPERATION
Power for the voltmeter is supplied on circuit F14. This circuit is spliced and supplies power to all the gauges. Ground for the voltmeter is supplied on circuit Z11.

The F14 circuit is also used to measure the voltage level. The gauge reading changes based on the system voltage in the F14 circuit.
