Instrument Cluster Replacement
REMOVAL
1. Remove the cluster bezel. Refer to: "Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators : Instrument Panel : Service and Repair" Service and Repair
2. Remove the knee blocker. Refer to: "Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators : Instrument Panel : Service and Repair" Service and Repair
3. On club cab models only, remove the steering column cover reinforcement.
PRND21 Cable Remove:
4. On models with an automatic transmission pull the gear selector indicator (PRND21) cable and twist it to remove it from the position arm on the steering column.
5. Push the tab on the bottom of the cable retainer up, then squeeze the sides to remove the retainer from the steering column.
Instrument Cluster Remove/Install:
6. Remove the four screws that secure the cluster to the instrument panel.
Cluster Connectors:
7. Pull the cluster rearward far enough to unplug the two cluster wire harness connectors.
8. Remove the cluster from the instrument panel.
9. Reverse the removal procedures to install.
