Power Mirror Switch: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Door Pull Cup Remove/Install - Typical:
2. Remove the two screws in the door pull cup that secure the cup to the inner door panel and remove the cup.
Window Regulator Crank Handle Remove - Typical:
3. If equipped, remove the manual window regulator crank handle with a removal tool.
Switch Bezel Rear Retaining Tab - Typical:
4. If equipped, remove the power window and lock switches by reaching through the door pull cup opening and depressing the switch bezel rear retaining tab.
5. Pull the rear of the switch bezel up and away from the door trim panel far enough to access the wire harness connectors.
Door Switch Connectors - Typical:
6. Gently pry the locking tabs of the wire harness connectors away from the switches and carefully unplug the switches.
Power Mirror Switch Knob Remove/Install:
7. Pull the power mirror switch control knob rearward to remove it from the switch stem.
Power Mirror Switch Nut:
8. Remove the nut that secures the power mirror switch to the door trim panel.
9. Using a wide flat-bladed tool such as a trim stick, gently pry the trim panel away from the door around the perimeter to release the retainers and remove the trim panel.
NOTE: To aid in the removal of the trim panel, start at the bottom of the panel.
Power Mirror Switch Connector:
10. Unplug the power mirror switch wire harness connector.
11. Remove the power mirror switch from the door trim panel.
12. When installing the power window and lock switch bezel to the door trim panel, insert the rear of the bezel into the trim panel opening, then push down on the front of the bezel until the retaining tab snaps into place.
13. Reverse the remaining removal procedures to complete the installation.
