VACUUM SCHEMATICS
A vacuum schematic for emission related items can be found on the VECI label.
The VECI labels are permanently attached and cannot be removed without defacing information and destroying label.
The VECI label is located in the engine compartment.
The label combines both emission control information and vacuum hose routing. This label is located in the engine compartment in front of the radiator and contains the following:
- Engine family and displacement
- Evaporative family
- Emission control system schematic
- Certification application
- Engine timing specifications (if adjustable)
- Idle speeds (if adjustable)
- Spark plug and gap
NOTE: If anything differs between the specifications found on the Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label and the specifications found in tis reference, use specifications on VECI label.
Canadian Labels
There are unique labels for vehicles built for sale in the country of Canada and for both Light Duty Cycle (LDC) and Heavy Duty Cycle (HDC) engines. Canadian labels are written in both the English and French languages. For all Canadian vehicles, the label is split into two different labels.
