Circuit Operation
Several fuses supply power for the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS); fuses 3, 16, 7, 12, and the fuse in cavities 19 and 20 in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) and fuses 5 and 17 in the fuse block. The fuses in the PDC are connected directly to battery voltage and are HOT all times. Fuse 5 in the fuse block is HOT when the ignition switch is in the RUN position. Fuse 17 in the fuse block is HOT when the ignition switch is the START or RUN position. In the RUN position, the ignition switch connects circuit A2 from fuse 3 in the PDC with circuit A22. Circuit A22 connects to a bus bar in the fuse block. The bus bar feeds circuit A20 through fuse 5. Fuse 5 is a 5 amp fuse.
Circuit A20 splices to the coil sides of the ABS warning lamp relay and the ABS power relay Circuit A20 also splices to cavities 6 and 12 of the Controller Anti-Lock Brakes (CAB). Circuit Z8 provides ground for the CAB.
Circuits Z7 and Z8 provide ground for the CAB. Circuit Z8 connects to cavity A of the CAB 2-way connector Circuit Z7 connects to cavity 20 of the 37-way connector.
