Horn: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the left front park/turn signal/side marker lamp. refer to Lighting and Horns for the procedure.

Fender Extension Panel Remove/Install:

3. Remove the four screws that secure the fender extension panel to the fender and the headlamp support panel.
4. Remove the fender extension panel using care not to lose the two spacers for the inboard mounting tabs.

Horn Remove/Install:

5. Remove the four bolts that secure the ABS access plate to the headlamp support panel.
6. Pull the access plate out far enough to unplug the horn wire harness connector(s).
7. Remove the bolts that secure the horn(s) to the access plate and remove the horn(s).
8. Reverse the removal procedures to install. Tighten the hardware as follows:
- Horn mounting bolts - 22.6 Nm (200 in lb)
- ABS access plate bolts - 10.7 Nm (95 in lb).
