Drum brakes on all models are dual shoe, internal expanding units with an automatic self adjusting mechanism. Nine inch brakes are used on standard models. Ten inch brakes are used on models with payloads of 2000 pounds or more and all vehicles equipped with a Trac-Loc rear axle.
