Headlamp Relay: Service and Repair
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONWARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, REFER TO AIR BAGS AND SEAT BELTS/AIR BAGS BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the fuse access panel by unsnapping it from the left outboard end of the instrument panel.
Headlamp Relay Remove/Install:
3. Unplug the headlamp relay from the junction block.
4. Install the headlamp relay by aligning the relay terminals with the cavities in the junction block and pushing the relay firmly into place.
5. Connect the battery negative cable.
6. Test the relay operation.
7. Reinstall the fuse access panel
