Intermittent Signal From Rear Sensor

SET CONDITION:
The following criteria must be met for this code to be detected.
1. No output signal from sensor for 15 MS.
2. Average filtered wheel speed computation above 19 km/h (12 mph) with the brake pedal released or above 32 km/h (20 mph) with the brake pedal applied.

OR:
1. Rear wheel acceleration reversing sense (changing from deceleration to acceleration or acceleration to deceleration) in between two sampling periods.
2. Magnitude of rear wheel acceleration or deceleration exceeding 3g in the second sample period.
3. Criteria 1 and 2 satisfied 128 times within a 21 second period.

POSSIBLE CAUSES:
- Intermittent or sudden short or open circuit in sensor or sensor wiring (including connectors)
- One or more missing or damaged tone wheel teeth
- Metal chips on sensor
- Mechanical looseness in sensor or exciter
- Damaged sensor
