Front Wiper Park Switch Circuit Open

SYMPTOM
FRONT WIPER PARK SWITCH CIRCUIT OPEN

WHEN MONITORED
The BCM, while monitoring the dwell switch, cannot determine when the wiper has left or returned to the park position.

SET CONDITION
The BCM, while monitoring the dwell switch, determines when the wiper has left the park switch and when it returns. When it fails to received that information it sets this code. The wiper runs in low speed only and stop whenever the switch is shut off.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Wiper park switch toggle closed/open
- Open wiper park switch sense circuit
- Defective BCM - wiper park switch
- Defective wiper motor/wiper park switch
