Windshield Wiper and Washer

SYMPTOM
WIPER PARK SWITCH FAILURE

WHEN MONITORED
Any time the wipers are ON.

SET CONDITION
After the CTM sees the park SW SEN CKT transition to B+, (high) it starts counting. If the line never goes to high (open CKT) the CTM will not start counting and the fault will not set. If the line state remains hi for longer than 8 secs, the DTC will set.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Defective I/wipe relay-starter relay
- Defective wiper relay-I/wipe location
- Open fused ignition switch CKT
- Open intermittent wiper relay control CKT
- Defective CTM/volt cycle default
