P1764 Governor Pressure Sensor Volts Too Low

SYMPTOM
P-1764 GOVERNOR PRESSURE SENSOR VOLTS TOO LOW

WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the key on and engine running.

SET CONDITION
The voltage from the Governor Pressure Sensor is below 0.10 volts for 8.5 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- GOV pressure sen harness intermittently defective
- Governor pressure/temperature sensor defective
- GOV pressure sen sig ckt short to sen ground ckt
- GOV pressure sensor signal circuit short to ground
- Trans harn/sol assy def (measure to sensor ground)
- Trans harness/sol assy def (measure to ground)
- PCM def (gov press sensor v too low)
- 5-volt supply circuit open
