SYMPTOMP-0320 NO CRANK REFERENCE SIGNAL AT PCM (DIESEL)
TEST NOTE
All symptoms listed above are diagnosed using the same tests. The title for the tests will be P-0320 NO CRANK REFERENCE SIGNAL AT PCM. (DIESEL)
WHEN MONITORED
Engine running.
SET CONDITION
The Engine speed at PCM is less than 800 RPM, while the RPM at the ECM is greater than 1024 RPM and Battery voltage is between 10.5 and 15.0 volts.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- RPM within 100 rpm of tach
- Ckp out to JTEC circuit open
- Powertrain control module defective
- Ckp out to JTEC circuit shorted to 12.0 volts
- Ckp out to JTEC circuit shorted to ground
- Engine control module defective
