P0253 Fuel Injection Pump Fuel Valve Open Circuit (OBDII)

SYMPTOM
P-0253 FUEL INJECTION PUMP FUEL VALVE OPEN CIRCUIT (OBDII)

WHEN MONITORED
Ignition On.

SET CONDITION
Engine speed > 100 RPM, Low current or no current detected at the Fuel Metering Valve.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Fuel injection pump ground circuit open
- Fuel injection pump relay output circuit open
- Fuel pump control module wiring harness observable defect
- Fuel injection pump defective
- Battery defective (voltage < 12.0 volts)
- Battery defective (voltage < 8.0 volts)
